Each of us is a collection of energy.
We’re constantly sending and receiving vibrational signals.

The collection of the vibes we take in and give off is our own individual sound signature. Sometimes this signature is strong and aligned with who we truly are. Often though, it isn’t. We feel pushed and pulled by the conflicting energies, thoughts, feelings and needs in and around us. These conflicts - or disharmony - can show up in discomfort and dis-ease mentally, emotionally, spiritually, even physically.

At Charm, I use the vibrational energy of sound
to bring you back to your true center.
Together, we’ll work to harmonize and integrate the energies of mind, body, heart and soul. A coherent vibe is a strong vibe. When your own sound signature is aligned and heart-centered you’re less likely to become pulled - quite literally - into the noise and dissonance around you. Instead, you become a centering vibration for yourself and those around you.

Laura Stuart Obenauf

Laura, owner of Charm Sound Healing, is thrilled to be partnering with Louisville Natural Health!

One of Laura’s favorite things about working with sound energy is its profound ability to melt energetic habits of mind, emotions and body, helping people transcend these conscious or unconscious habit energies and transmute them into heart-centered healing. This allows for relief, deep relaxation, lightening, reconnection and reawakening. Whether someone is seeking support for physical pain symptoms, patterns of emotional, mental or spiritual challenges, or is simply seeking deep calm and inspiration — the pulse waves of sound energy with its geometric sequence of overtone and undertone frequencies can resonate with and entrain all these energetic levels into alignment.

Laura specializes in working with individual clients to address the whole state of well-being through transformational sound journeys, but also is available to host groups for relaxing sound baths. In her sessions you’ll hear many textures of sounds including the voice, Tibetan singing bowls, drums, chimes, the flute and more. Laura is a certified Level 2 sound healing practitioner trainer by the Sound Healing Academy International. She is a mother, gardener, animal lover, student of Celtic Shamanism, and holds a formal educational background in music, ecology and spirituality.

Laura invites you to experience this primordial, powerful, yet gentle energetic force and its ability to reconnect you with your truest, deepest, highest and most well self. Learn more at: Charm Sound Healing.

Growing up in the beautiful landscapes of Colorado, I developed a deep love for the natural world and an early understanding of the body’s incredible ability to heal. This understanding was tested when, at 18, I was involved in a serious car accident. The recommended therapies didn’t include medication; instead, I received massage therapy and chiropractic care. Witnessing my body’s capacity to recover through these holistic methods, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others experience the same healing.

My career has been a journey through various therapeutic modalities. From working with chiropractors and physical therapists to spending time at the Olympic Training Center, I’ve always been driven by a desire to understand the body on a deeper level. Over the years, my practice has evolved to focus on trauma work, nutrition, and somatic therapies, which are at the heart of Embodied Health and Wellness.

Hello! I’m Jennifer, a licensed acupuncturist and nationally board certified Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, a licensed massage therapist, and a Craniosacral therapist.

My path to whole body and integrative medicine began in 2010 when I moved to Portland from Florida. Growing up in Florida I had never heard of acupuncture, and massage was something you get at a spa. As a person who has suffered from migraines since the age of 12. Until I started regularly seeing an acupuncture physician and receiving massage and herbal medicine nothing I had been given had ever worked to relieve the pain.

After receiving acupuncture and massages regularly I realized I was taking a step in the direction of wellbeing. With every session, I was committing to and investing in my health. My struggle with migraines was slowly dissipating. Not only did my episodes get further apart and with less severity, but I was eating better, I was sleeping better, I was being more mindful in all aspects of my life, and most importantly, I realized that I was in charge of my wellbeing. That I could make small changes that had a huge impact on how I felt in my body.

This was revolutionary. Health is not about radical changes, it is the small steps we take every day that begin again every morning.

My next steps… with a fascination for the beauty, simplicity, and availability of herbal medicine, I spent countless hours walking my neighborhood and local forests with my plant ID book. After a couple of years of self-study, I craved more formal education of the harvest, application, and clinical uses of herbal medicine. In 2014 I graduated from the Elderberry School of Botanical Medicine; a training program for local wildcrafting, medicine making, and clinical herbalism.

I soon started working at Integrate Health and Wellness PDX a Chinese Medicine clinic and apothecary. It is here that my love and passion for acupuncture and massage bloomed. In 2015 I enrolled in the 800-hour massage therapy program at East West College of the Healing Arts. With an emphasis on Swedish relaxation, Tuina, Deep Tissue, Craniosacral, and Pre- and Perinatal Massage. After that I graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with a doctorate in acupuncture and herbal medicine, a 4000-hour training program.

I am excited to bridge the worlds of massage therapy, acupuncture, and herbal medicine by offering custom blended massage oils, tinctures, tonics and individualized treatment sessions. When not working with people and their muscles I am gleefully tending my garden with my son or out in the woods walking amongst the trees, and plants and admiring the flowers. I look forward to working with you on your path of well-being!

Lauren Blansit Hutton has been a student of the human body since she was injured as a young gymnast and demanded to know exactly what the orthopedic was talking about. She has never stopped making such demands which also included the impact of car accident and the sustained injuries.

Lauren currently works as a chemical engineer and lives with her husband, Nick, and their FOUR geriatric cats.

Physical pain and restriction drove Lauren to try hot yoga in 2008, when traditional physical therapy and treatment weren’t working. It was like a missing piece fell into place.

In 2017, Lauren registered for yoga instructor training at Asheville Yoga Center. The 200-hour program was a thorough education in all of the major lineages of modern yoga, yoga history and philosophy, meditation, Sanskrit, and the power of pranayama. The most impactful teaching for Lauren was around Yin yoga and its effect on the neuromuscular system, nervous system, mental body, energetic body, and everything in between.

Yin yoga has been instrumental in her healing journey and she is patiently holding space to guide you through yours.
